Finance Assistant (Maternity Cover)

You will be an experienced financial assistant or administrator with skills appropriate to the tasks and responsibilities outlined within the job description. 

Role Summary and Purpose

You will assist the Head of Support Services in the delivery of the day to day financial operations with responsibilities Responsibilities will include: stock, petty cash and credit card transactions, entering invoices and credits, nominal transactions, invoicing, debtor control, Sage analysis, deposits, maintaining files of confirmed centre bookings, debtor control, supplier invoices entered, paid and batched, payment and reconciliation of grants, cash handling, gift aid.

About you

You will have experience and a positive a track record working in a finance team.  Third sector charity experience being highly desirable. You will have experience of Sage.  You will be organized, proactive with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.  You will have the ability to work as part of a team as well as the ability to work on your own and manage your workload to meet challenging deadlines.

Salary: £19,000 to £21,000 per annum pro rata (NB: salary placing within that range is dependent upon skills and experience of appointee)

Contract: This is a temporary appointment to cover maternity leave.  The initial contract will be for 7 months with the possibility of extension.

Start date: Ideally the successful candidate will start in post on 1st December 2016.

Hours of work: 37 hours

Location: Operating normally from Scottish Scout Headquarters, Fordell Firs, Fife
