Decision Support Manager Edinburgh   250 - 300 per day

Our client is a Financial Services organisation based in Edinburgh. They require a contractor to manage the financial performance of Change within a business area.

The role requires the provision of timely and accurate insight and analysis to internal and external stakeholders to aid the decision making process. This is an eight month contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting on the Change cost base, including consolidated monthly project reporting, monthly financial forecasts and regular budget updates.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating a collaborative approach.
  • Understanding key challenges, risks and opportunities, providing business challenge and recommending corrective action plans as required.
  • Supporting the preparation and review of new Change funding requests to facilitate Finance sign off.
  • Ensuring integrity of financial information in line with appropriate guidelines and standards.
  • Identify and deliver process improvements that support working efficiencies, insight and analysis for the business.

About you:

  • Qualified accountant. CA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Strong systems skills. Experience in Excel, Oracle and Hyperion is useful.
  • Self-sufficient and the ability to work with little supervision.
