Change Recruitment are currently working with our client based in the centre of Glasgow to recruit a senior member of their finance team with a focus on process and system improvements spanning the wider team. The successful individual will have the chance to work across a number of departments and engage with senior stakeholders on the way in which information is used and consumed with the view to streamlining and improving the end usage. A largely autonomous role, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV relevant projects and enhancements as well as a pro-active approach to business engagement, key skills will cover;
- Responsible for the review of finance reports and their usage with the view to process improvement and simplification
- Using VBA / SQL to reduce reporting times and automate manual processes
- Leading on engagement with senior stake holders across Finance and Operations to create new reporting and controls processes
- Confident scoping and reviewing with the business existing processes
- Documentation of processes and controls
The successful applicant for this role must have a proven background in using VBA / SQL to streamline and simplify excel based reporting tools. Supporting this the candidate will be able to demonstrate projects and examples of this as well as strong interpersonal skills and a fundamental understanding of financial reporting and controls.
The role will enable the successful candidate to scope and create their own workload as well as future direction of the post as the business continues to evolve and the information consumed and requested for develops with this.
