Cooper Cromar a leading Glasgow based architectural practice have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated and flexible Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly professional office.

The role will require you to lead and manage a small finance team and work closely with the Directors to advise on all matters relating to the company's finances.

The role encompasses the Management of all the financial and administrative procedures and systems of the Practice which records, produces and maintains the company’s financial and HR records including.

Accounts:

Sales Ledger Processing & Management:

Invoice & Receipt processing, Reconciliation & Credit Control, Paperwork and Legal Correspondence Management

Purchase Ledger Processing & Management:

Invoice Processing, Reconciliation, Payment Processing, BACS Transfer

Nominal ledger Processing and Management - To Trial Balance, P&L & Balance Sheet:

Inc: Control Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliation, VAT reconciliation and submission, Depreciation, Prepayment & Accruals, Monthly & Yearly Management Accounts, Asset Register, Project Management Accounting and analysis, Reporting to H M Revenue & Customs for Tax & VAT purposes. Contractual agreement understanding and supervision with clients & suppliers

Production of Cashflow forecasting.

Projections in association with the Directors:

Assistance in Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting

Production and Management of Yearend, Audit preparation and supervision.

Ability to understand and breakdown Audited Accounts.

Awareness and a general understanding of Statutory Requirements in relation to the Companies Act and HMRC.

Databasing and Job costing software experience.

Adhoc admin duties and all financial correspondence.

HR Duties: Responsible for recording, producing and maintaining all HR functions and records.

Including:

Payroll processing.

Timesheet Management.

Monitor Holiday and Sickness leave.

P11d’s.

Employment Contracts.

General administration.

Managing Statutory Compliant Auto Enrolment Scheme.

Applicants must have excellent skills in Sage, Excel, Word and a knowledge of job costing packages. The individual will work closely with the Directors of the Practice and be responsible for the other members of the Finance Team. As such the successful applicant will be a team player with proven communication, management and organisation skills. Candidates will benefit from excellent working conditions in a large city centre office, close to various public amenities and transport links.

Experience in working within a construction consultancy practice would be beneficial but not essential.
