Senior Finance Manager Glasgow   50000 - 55000 per annum

Wilkinson & Associates are working with a highly regarded business with a brand name synonymous with their industry. Operating across globe and with headquarters in Glasgow, our client has continued to diversify their product offering and due to continued growth they are looking to add a Senior Finance Manager to their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates keen to make an impact at the decision making level and the position has a good blend of hands-on financial analysis, technical accounting, management reporting and partnering with non-finance stakeholders.

Summary of the role profile:

*Responsible for providing financial advice and support to various stakeholders and colleagues (both financial and non-financial users) to enable them to make sound business decisions. Producing accurate financial reports within specific deadlines.
*Part of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for producing Key Performance Indicators within a Performance Challenge framework
*Responsible for the preparation of Statutory Accounts and notes to the Financial Statements under UK & US GAAP
*Liaising with external auditors in the completion of the financial audit and the preparation of year end Statutory Accounts.
*Responsible for compliance with all taxes regulation in relation to Corporation Tax, HMRC, VAT returns and PAYE/NIC payments under Real-Time Information.
*Key driver for operating within the Sarbanes Oxley internal control framework
*Managing the company's financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems (JD Edwards, Accounts Tracking System, Capital Management System)
*Responsible for clear budgetary planning as an essential tool for both the short and long term control of the business. Explanation of significant variance analysis forms a key part of budgetary control.
*Pension and company insurances administration

To be considered for the role you must be a qualified accountant with previous experience of adding value in a leadership role. You must be ambitious, proactive, confident and be an effective team player. You should have solid technical accounting skills and be comfortable liaising with the 'shop floor' on both financial and non-financial matters. Previous experience of leading a team, US GAAP and SOX are all prerequisite. You must be willing and able to operate at both the strategic and 'hands-on' level and be comfortable with a workload that reflects both levels.
