We are looking for a Financial Accounts Officer to work within our Financial Accounting team providing cover for maternity leave for up to 12 months. The post-holder will support the team to ensure that SQA provides a robust control environment and the business achieves its current financial targets and objectives.
The successful candidate will be required to assist in the day to day running of the financial reporting function, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all finance transactions as well as performing daily checks of transactions carried out in other areas of the business. In order to do this you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following specific duties:
- Experience of BACs, banking software and complex foreign currency calculations
- Experience in dealing with queries with banks and managing corporate bank accounts
- Preparing monthly cash flow
- Preparation of month end accounting files
Additionally you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Assisting in preparation of annual report and accounts
- A good knowledge and understanding of current financial rules and legislation
Applicants, as a minimum, should be educated to SCQF Level 7, HNC/SVQ 3 ideally in a finance related discipline and/or be able to demonstrate direct relevant experience in a financial accounting environment.
