Wellhouse Housing Association owns and manages 798 properties, plus 52 factored owners, of mixed stock type. We wish to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Finance Manager to join our Management Team at our offices in the Greater Easterhouse area of Glasgow.

The successful applicant will have a recognised accountancy qualification, or be qualified by experience, with an established record of financial and management accounting experience, as well as managerial or supervisory experience.  You should be able to plan and prioritise a heavy and diverse workload to meet challenging deadlines and organisational goals.

You will also need to display strategic capabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and, above all, be highly motivated and committed to excel in this role

The successful applicant will:

• Deliver continuous improvement in business performance

• Ensure effective communication with customers and partners

• Lead an effective finance service that will support the delivery of a comprehensive range of services

• Ensure Compliance with all professional, regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements

• Support the management committee, attending committee with robust, regular and effective financial reporting and professional guidance

• Work with key partners to manage the wellbeing, employability, skills, incomes and training of our communities

The main requirements for this role are:

• A recognised finance qualification

• Experience in a finance role at a senior level

• Experience of business planning

• Demonstrable knowledge of current finance regulations, FRS012, FCA, OSCR returns, etc.

• Experience of monthly management account monitoring

• Excellent communication and development skills

• A customer centred approach, flexible, confident and assertive manner

• A methodical and flexible approach to organising and prioritising a varied workload

• The ability to meet demanding personal and team deadlines

• The ability to form effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Excellent computer literacy and numeracy skills

• Flexibility to work out-with office hours e.g. attend evening meetings

Other desirable qualities include:

• Experience of working in a finance role in a housing provider or similar

• Experience of working in a community controlled organisation

• A people management qualification (or a commitment to training for one)

• Experience in payroll/ pension processing

• Experience of using SDM

• A full driving license and access to your own car
