Castle Leisure Group are currently recruiting for an Accounts/Purchase Ledger Assistant. Castle Leisure Group operates bars, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels across Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy accounts department within a business that is currently expanding.

Applicants for this role MUST have previous purchase ledger experience, work to a high degree of accuracy, have good system skills and be able to work to tight deadlines.

Reporting to the Financial Director you will be responsible for the purchase ledger and to ensure prompt and accurate processing of invoices, processing and reconciling payments and bank reconcilliations.

Main Responsibilities will be:

  • Processing large volume of invoices
  • Processing and reconciling payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Supplier accounts reconciliations
  • Managing petty cash
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Month end processing
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting the Financial Director in producing 4 weekly management accounts
  • Year end processing

Skills required:

  • Proven experience within a Purchase Ledger role
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work within set deadlines

Very competitive salary offered with this role and will be dependent on experience.

40 hours per 5 day week Monday to Friday
