We are a forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Cupar and Markinch in Fife, who have a vacancy for a payroll officer.
The successful applicant must have experience of computerised payroll and will be responsible for weekly and monthly payroll, experience and understanding of auto enrolment pensions is essential.
Candidates must display a 'can do' attitude combined with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work closely with colleagues and clients.
Within our team, you'll be expected to assist with all aspects of the business and establish and maintain excellent working relationships with our clients and get involved to meet the demands of the business.
We are looking for the person to start as soon as possible.
Duties of the Payroll Officer will include but are not limited to;
Dealing with and resolving payroll queries
Payroll processing and reconciliation
Manage auto-enrolment process and administer pensions
All PAYE related tasks
Preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls
CIS verification and processing
General admin tasks
Prepare and submit monthly HMRC and pension provider reporting requirements
Back-up and update payroll system
A successful Payroll Officer will have the following;
Accountancy practice or Payroll Bureau experience – Essential
Experience working in a fast paced payroll position before
Confident in their ability to pick up new systems
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational skills
