Salary: £16,000 - £18,000
Closing date: 31 October 2016
Come and work at Key! We're looking for two new Payroll Administrators.
About the job
Payroll is our business. We pay thousands of contractors every week and liaise with hundreds of recruitment agencies in the process. As a Payroll Administrator, you’ll help make sure all of this runs smoothly. You’ll be responsible for a variety of payroll-related tasks – from raising invoices and running payrolls, to providing advice and support to recruitment agencies.
Never done this before? Don’t worry – you’ll be working in a friendly, supportive team with full training provided. Before long, you’ll know your RTI from your Earnie, and be able to navigate your way around our payroll software. We’ll help you earn your Payroll Technician Certificate, too.
You’ll develop specialist knowledge of our industry and get to know our business and our clients inside out. This makes you ideally placed to contribute ideas that help continually improve our service and operate more efficiently. There’s a real opportunity to make an impact on the business.
This role provides a great starting point for a career in the payroll and finance industries. Previous administrators have progressed into senior payroll positions, gone onto become auditors or transferred to our Accounts team to train for the ACCA.
Your main duties will include:
- Process payrolls
- Offer payroll advice and support to customers, via email and phone
- Raise invoices
- Carry out statutory payment qualifications
- Manage court orders
- Process HMRC forms
- RTI submission
- Record payroll statistics
- Use tools including Navision, Earnie and banking software
- Keep customer records up-to-date using our CRM software
- Be helpful to our customers and your colleagues
You have a good head for numbers, pay attention to detail and are an effective communicator. On top of that, you know good customer service when you experience it. You wish to carve out a career in the payroll or finance industry and want to work with a company who will support your professional development.
These are the qualities we’re looking for:
- High attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Enjoy helping others
- Good listener
- Team player
- Positive attitude
- Enjoy learning
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
