Full Time Financial Controller Based In Edinburgh

The Basics:

  • You will manage the existing Accounts team based in our Edinburgh office in Rutland Square and report to the CEO.

The Role:

  • This is a management position involving strategic development of the company’s finances as well as day-to-day control to ensure the smooth running of robust financial processes.

  • You will assume responsibility for the management of the accounts department and will have overall responsibility for maintaining the financial ledgers and accounting processes, accurate monthly reporting of KPIs to a tight timetable, cash flow management, cash management and treasury, payroll and VAT returns.

  • A key element of the role is analysis, modelling and reporting of financial information to the Senior Management Team. The post holder will also be responsible for budgeting and forecasting in co-operation with the CEO, CTO and Digital Director.

The Requirements:

  • You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous financial control and management reporting experience.

  • Experience of managing a small team is required, along with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to make logical decisions based on available information.

  • You will have prior experience of implementing new structures and practices in a growing company to enable business expansion, and in providing advice to company directors and board members on future financial strategy.
