Avenue Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a VAT Assistant to join our client who are a forward thinking and progressive accountancy practice in Fife.
This role will be temporary initially, with the view to being made permanent after the initial 6 months.
To be successful, you will have some experience of completing VAT returns and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. Previous experience in dealing with payroll and working in an accountancy practice is desirable, but not essential.
*Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns from the books and records provided by the clients.
*Preparation of information analysing:
other relevant information.
*Assisting in the preparation of Profit and Loss Accounts & Balance Sheets.
*Assisting in the preparation of wages through the payroll system.
*Answer telephone calls and reception enquiries in a timely, courteous and efficient manner.
*Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between client and staff and respond clearly and effectively to requests over the phone or in person and to verbal or written instructions.
*Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
