  • Prepare a daily analysis of vehicle breakdowns establishing root cause and identifying trends, working with your colleagues to analyse and eradicate failures.
  • To collate and disseminate best practise amongst team leaders, mobile technicians and branches.
  • To produce a monthly fleet report that will be shared with the leadership teams.
  • Working with the fleet management team to implement any measures that can enforce best practise in vehicle design to eradicate failures.
  • To maintain a close working relationship with maintenance/repair providers and suppliers.
  • To assist the Contract Manager in quality control, ensuring vehicles are maintained in a safe fit and serviceable condition.
  • Comply with T.O.M. operational and administrative procedures within defined guidelines at all times.
  • To assist the Fleet team and conduct regular audit check's on branches and customer premises to maintain standards and initiate corrective action as necessary.
  • Undertake and support fleet based projects as directed by the Contract Manager as necessary
  • To keep updated with best in class technological development and advances in the security and vehicle industry
  • Ensure that all relevant legislative and Company procedures and standards (Health & Safety, Security, ISO9002, Finance, Personnel, Uniform and Transport) are adhered to.
  • Identification of opportunities to improve processes and methods
  • Compliance within the Operator’s Licence Regulation
  • Ensuing all Service Level Agreement's and contract measures are strictly adhered to.
  • Engineering Investigations following major component failure or MOT Failures.
  • Mechanical Handling Equipment (supplier and Equipment control, management and safety within branches.
  • Ensuring all lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations (LOLER) inspections and statutory testing and maintenance is strictly adhered to.
  • Flexible working will be required and must be prepared to travel UK wide including overnight stay.


  • Ideally Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) National.
  • Membership of professional organisation such as Society of Engineers (SOE).
  • Knowledge of operator licencing and the pre requisite legislation.
  • IT literate in all aspects of Microsoft OceHighest integrity, and upholding company values at all times.
  • Project management experience would be preferred.
  • Competent in all diagnostic equipment.
  • Be fully conversant with all types of electrical and mechanical vehicles.
  • Analytical with developed technical report writing.
  • Commercial acumen – to have a strong financial awareness specifically around departmental budgets, and supporting the leadership team in delivery profitability and financial targets.
  • Be able to work alone or part of a team with the ability to work with others at all levels eectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisation skills, ability to plan ahead and multi-task.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, to understand profit and loss and interdependencies.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet various deadlines.
  • Project Management skills to ensure timely delivery of appropriate assignments.
  • Able to cultivate strong relationships with management and challenge colleagues in a supportive manner.
  • A person of integrity who is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards.
