Transport Support Officer Bathgate   9.15 per hour

Pertemps client, a well known Public Sector organisation based in Bathgate are seeking to recruit Support Officer on a full time temporary basis

Job Purpose

To provide an effective and efficient clerical and administrative support duties within the PTU including processing various work requests, the maintenance of the PTU Management Information System and general financial administration.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Deal with routine correspondence and emails personally and provide support to all staff on the production of internal letters, letters to members of the public and the transcription of reports, minutes, statistical returns etc

- Operate standard word processing packages to assist in providing an office typing service for all levels of staff within PTU

- Deal with enquiries regarding services received by correspondence, telephone or in person when possible

- Provide a clerical and administrative support service to all staff within PTU and prepare various documents including procurement template

- Use appropriate software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint to provide clerical and administrative support to all staff within PTU as required

- Provide cover for other jobs in PTU during periods of absence, sickness and holidays to keep routine matters reasonably up to date until the incumbent returns

Essential Criteria

- Good IT skill

- Effective customer service skills

- Good communications and team working skills

- Ability to work with minimum level of supervision

- Accuracy and attention to detail
