My client a well know Public sector organisation, is currently recruiting for an Accounts Service Assistant on a temporary basis.

Job Purpose

To undertake delegated clerical and admin duties, assisting the supervisor in ensuring the smooth running and effective delivery of a client accounts service. Main duties will include being the first line of support for client payments within the organisation, dealing with client enquiries and processing of insurance claims

Main Responsibilities:

- Provide a professional and courteous client accounts service for internal and external clients including insurance companies; dealing with client queries either in person, by phone and/or by email

-Process the Insurance claim on behalf of the client, being responsible for the claim form management to the point of submission to insurance company; ensuring a timely completion in line with deadlines (claims are rejected if not submitted to insurance company within a prescribed period), liaise and chase clinicians for any missing information relating to a client case, undertake checks through the computerised practice management system and with the client to ensure that all of the relevant sections of the insurance claim are complete and accurate

-Ensure a close liaison is maintained with the Clinical Finance team; ensuring appropriate and prompt management of client queries/issues as they arise. Involve Client Services Supervisor on any difficult cases/complaints which may arise due to issues regarding client accounts

-Providing backup telephone and/or face to face cover for reception (4th line cover to reception) to external clients, including booking of appointments and dealing with clients as they arrive to reception desk, where required

-General housekeeping of the practice management system ensuring all records are accurate and reflect the current position of a client's account with relevant records updated in the events log.

-Assist with training current and new staff on client account management within the practice management system as it relates to the individual staff members role.

-Under direction, participate in the development of any new practices to improve client care within the Client Accounts Service office; specifically reviewing and/or testing any new electronic approaches to client accounts and/or new practice management systems

-Under direction, extract data from the practice management system and produce reports from this data relating to business and clinical key performance indicators. Undertake basic analysis in order to present the data in an easily digestible format.
