A unique opportunity has arisen in the Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer service for a modern apprentice to work within the Registration and Rating Team whilst undertaking an SVQ2 in Business Administration. The successful applicant will work in a dynamic office environment with a team of Registration and Rating Advisors to develop skills, knowledge and experience of Electoral Registration, Non Domestic Rating and Council Tax.
Modern Apprenticeships (MA) offer new entrants to the labour market the chance of paid employment combined with the opportunity to do training relevant to the occupational area. They include the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications that help kick-start a career without having to study full-time. New entrants include school and college leavers, those with no previous work experience and/or vocational qualifications
As this is an apprentice post the job holder will be required to work in various areas and departments throughout the organisation to develop skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of Electoral Registration & Non Domestic Rating. This will be via on the job training and formal training sessions to establish knowledge and understanding.
As part of the apprenticeship you will be required to engage with a training provider to obtain the desired qualification of an SVQ level 2 in Business and Administration and have regular meetings with the supervisor and/or assessor.
At least 3 SCE Standard Grades (or equivalent) at level 3 or above including English and Mathematics
In accordance with Government Guidelines, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the Apprenticeship) to qualify for this position.
