You will work 18 hours per week, based at Social Work Services, Irish Street, Dumfries, you will be working as a team with other Admin Assistants responsible for ensuring that the administration processes for Child Protection, Looked After Children and Adult Support and Protection are carried out to the highest standard and that timescales are adhered to as set within Dumfries and Galloway procedures.
This post will involve organising and minuting Child Protection, Adult Support and Protection and Looked After Children conferences and review meetings, ensuring that an accurate record is taken of the meetings and the outcomes are distributed when appropriate to all relevant agencies. Occasionally this may involve travel to other locations within Dumfries and Galloway and working outwith your normal working hours.
Essential for this post are the following:-
• An SVQ/NVQ Level in 3 Business Administration or equivalent
• Current Driving Licence
• A high level of computer and database skills
• Excellent minute taking skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work to tight timescales and under pressure
This is a temporary post for a period of up to 1 year. This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.
