The Business Systems Modernisation Programme
The board’s goals are to co-ordinate the transformation of several of Heriot-Watt University’s administrative processes and information systems– delivering an architecture which better-supports our campuses, enables more-efficient use of staff time, and aligns with University strategy.
The programme will be initiating projects and directing resources to meet its objectives and there will need to be careful co-ordination between those projects. This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a key role at the core of this programme.
The programme will be managed from Information Services(IS).
Reporting to the Head of Project Services, Programme Support Officer will provide administration and programme/project management support for The Business Systems Modernisation Programme and associated projects.
- To work as part of the Programme to provide an efficient and effective projects delivery service to the University.
- To carry professional administrative responsibility, within the IS directorate, for the efficient and effective delivery of selected major projects as funded by the University/external funding bodies.
- To take ownership of and manage a wide range of major and minor administrative, process and procedure tasks within the project management process. Contribute to the preparation and updating of the projects delivery strategy as required.
