Assistant Edinburgh   £10.75 per hour

Our client, a well known Public Sector organisation, is currently looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant on a full time, temporary basis in central Edinburgh. The post is expected to continue until 31 March 2017.

The duties will include but are not be restricted to:

- Managing an enquiries desk and answering queries to deadlines

- Providing excellent customer service in person and on the telephone

- Liaising with customers and managing their expectations

- Cataloguing and classifying stock

- Maintaining, producing and publishing information sources on the website and databases

- Liaising with research units to increase understanding of subjects, workload, sources to use and hot topics

- Publish publications as required

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Excellent customer care skills

- Experience of using the internet as a research tool

- Proficient in Word and Excel

- Experience of working with print and electronic library collections

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Effective team working

- Awareness of and interest in current affairs
