The General Trustees are the major property-holding corporation for the Church of Scotland. We are looking for an experienced administrator who will take the lead in the line management of the administration team comprising typing and support staff; the planning and organising of the schedule of the Trustees’ Board and Committee meetings including the issuing of Calling Notices, Minutes and other papers; the administration of expense claims by Trustees and staff; audio-typing for the Secretary & Clerk to the General Trustees; acting as the Departmental IT co-ordinator and maintaining and developing information systems to support the work of the Trustees; and assisting the Secretary & Clerk and the other senior managers in the effective working of the Department.
To succeed in this challenging and rewarding role, you will already have sound experience in a busy administrative position, with strong IT skills and a definite passion for maintaining and developing efficient administration systems and procedures. You should have effective line management and leadership skills combined with well-developed interpersonal skills. You will also have advanced skills in diary management and prioritising a busy workload.
