You will provide professional, customer focused support across the range of information governance and corporate governance support and enhancement activities undertaken by the Governance Services team, with a particular focus on Records Management. A significant element of the role is to work closely with University Departments and Schools to advise on records management systems and processes, develop and review retention schedules, develop guidance and deliver training. Another important aspect will be to advise and assist with Data Protection compliance queries.
You will have a degree in a relevant subject area or be able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience. A professional qualification in records management, information legislation or another relevant area is desirable.
You will have experience of supporting records management along with a sound knowledge and understanding of Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a commitment to high service standards, excellent IT skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the service.
