An important strategic aim for the school is to raise its profile with potential students and research funders. This post is central to achieving this strategic aim. The post-holder will report directly to the school’s Information Services Manager and be responsible for the development and delivery of all externally facing activities in support of teaching, research and knowledge transfer.
Based on the Edinburgh campus, the post holder would be a member of a vibrant Information Services team. The work will be varied and will require the successful candidate to provide a fair, friendly and timely service to students, staff and visitors.
The Information Services team is one of 6 professional services teams within the School and is managed by the Information Services Manager. The Information Services team in the School covers IT, Marketing & Media and Student Resources. The professional services teams within the School are committed to pursuing excellence and within this context aim to provide a supportive and professional environment in which excellent research, education and knowledge exchange can flourish.
The post-holder will be required to liaise closely with other members of the School’s Information Services team as well as other professional services staff both within the School and the centre (e.g. staff in the School’s Learning & Teaching Support Team, Research & Knowledge Exchange Support Team, Finance Team as well as the central Marketing & Communications team and the Student Recruitment team) to ensure all duties are seamlessly covered.
You will have a relevant first degree (e.g. Marketing, PR or Events) and experience of producing promotional materials (online and print) and organising events
