The Cash Office team provides a wide range of services including the processing and recording of all income; disbursement of cash; advice on banking, refunds of online payments, merchant terminals, BACS, Online banking and tracing income received.
Staff from this section deal with members of the public, academic, research and support staff at all levels. Reporting to the Cash Office Manager, the successful candidate will be expected to play a key role in a small team.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic; committed to the highest standards of customer service; possess a high level of both keyboard and numeric skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you should enjoy attention to detail; be confident in handling large volumes of cash; possess good time management skills; with the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload; be resourceful with the ability to use your initiative, and a proactive approach to seeking out information; IT literate; able to manipulate information accurately within Word, Excel, email and financial accounting systems.
Knowledge of banking procedures; BACS and online banking would be an advantage.
Honesty, a good standard of English and a smart/tidy appearance are required.
Hours are 9.00 – 17.00 (35 hours) Monday – Friday, we are based on the ground floor in Charles Stewart House, Chambers Street, Edinburgh.
