Personal Assistant to the Head
Bryanston is looking to appoint a committed and professional Personal Assistant to the Head to provide strictly private and confidential support to the Head, facilitating her ability to lead and manage the School.
The PA will have responsibility for ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the Head’s Office and will handle all of the Head’s correspondence, her appointments and her diary. There will be continuous involvement with the academic staff, Registrar’s office, the Bursary, the Governors, caterers, parents, pupils and other schools and educational organisations.
The ideal candidate is likely to have a proven track record as a senior PA with experience of dealing with, and thriving on, multiple priorities in a busy and demanding environment.
Exceptional English, both written and spoken, a high degree of computer literacy with experience of MS Office, including Word and Excel, and an analytical approach to problem solving is required, as is the self-confidence to work independently with flexibility and initiative.
This post is a full-time, all year-round post, however, during school holidays there are significantly reduced hours and the flexibility to work from home. Bryanston offers a competitive package in a fantastic working environment.
Bryanston School is an independent boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 13 to 18, set in a 400-acre site near Blandford Forum in Dorset. Founded in 1928, the school aims above all to develop the all-round talents of individual pupils. A broad, flexible academic and extra-curricular programme is offered and each pupil benefits from considerable one-to-one help and guidance from a personal tutor, subject teachers and housemaster/housemistress. Bryanston aims to combine the best of the new and the old, as befits the school motto et nova et vetera.
