Margaret Hodge Recruitment is working on behalf of a client on the south side of Glasgow looking to add a German speaking purchasing administrator to their existing team.
We are looking for a confident and motivated Purchasing Administrator to join our Buying Team for Scotland. This is an ideal role for a positive and enthusiastic team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be supporting our Buying Team with administrative tasks, liaising with various suppliers and communicating internally across departments as well as with other countries. This role is fundamental in ensuring the business remains competitive with prices and continues its successful growth across Europe.
·Providing administrative support to the Buying Team
·Communicating with suppliers and internal departments via phone and email on a daily basis
·Obtain and compile product and supplier data for new contracts
·Ensuring complete & accurate data is passed on to the relevant team/department
·Ad hoc requests from the Buying Team
·Coordinating and taking part in product comparisons
·Ad hoc translations from German to English
·Producing and updating Excel documents
·Creating official memos for other countries
The Ideal Candidate
·Mother-tongue level English and fluent German (written & spoken)
·Well-organised and able to multitask
·Excellent communication skills
·Confidence to deal with senior members of staff
·Attention to detail
·Pro-active, approaching problems logically and calmly
·Competent Microsoft Office Skills
·Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
·£20,000 – £24,000 pro rata (subject to experience)
·30 days holiday per annum pro rata (including Bank Holidays)
