I am looking for an Assistant Librarian for an initial 5 month contract based in Glasgow. You will be responsible for the onsite support for library users with duties including, but not limited to enquiry management, stock ordering and provision of services such as literature searches and ad hoc training.
Your role will also involve supporting your team, from rostering, answering escalated enquiries, participating in library service improvement, projects and programmes.
The ideal candidate will be a professional qualified librarian who has commercial experience of work experience within a library. You must have a strong grasp of the internet and Microsoft office.
To be considered for this role you must:
* Be a professionally qualified library
* Have commercial experience working in a library setting
* Be confident using the internet and Microsoft Office packages
* Good communication skills
