Benefits Administrator Glasgow   11.87 per hour

Our client who is based in the East Renfrewshire area, have an opportunity for a Benefit Administrator on a temporary basis (approx. 4 months). Hours of work will be on a Monday to Friday basis working office hours and the pay rate will be 11.87 per hour.

Job role:

- Responsible for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction Interventions (reviews)
- National Fraud Initiative investigation for Housing Benefit and Council Tax
- Processing Real Time Information (RTI) from Department of Work and Pensions
- Processing Homeless Person Unit claims
- Review Backdate Requests
- Assisting in collating information for Appeals.

Key Skills:

- In depth knowledge of current benefit legislation and Council tax reduction regulations
- Experience of dealing with customers, and resolving problematic situations
- Excellent customer care skills
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Able to work as part of a team as well as own initiative
- Strong communication
