Fixed Term 12 Months Full Time This post will initially be on a Fixed Term basis for up to 12 months and there may be the possibility of a permanent position becoming available.

37 Hours per week

Starting salary from £16,200 per annum plus allowance of £2000 per annum paid into monthly salary pro rata, once training at base court is complete and provided competency in the duties of an Administrative Officer has been achieved.  Travel and Subsistence will also be paid when Relief duties are out with base court.

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience of the dynamic court environment in different locations, to undertake diverse tasks in courts of varying size and to see how they contribute to our purpose of supporting justice.

Outline of job role and purpose –This job is to provide cover for staff absences and the specific duties attached to this role are varied but will include all Court related matters including the preparation and disposal of court documentation, the processing and issue of financial documentation (e.g. jury expense payments). The role also involves dealing with telephone and counter queries from the full range of court users. The successful candidate will require to be flexible, able to travel to all Courts in the Sheriffdom of Grampian Highland and Islands, and being able to drive a car would be advantageous but not essential.
