This is a supply post to provide cover to our team working daytime, evenings and weekends by arrangement.
The key duties of this post are:Booking rooms and facilities and maintaining and updating the booking system as required Providing the initial point of contact for visitors, ascertaining the purpose or requirement of visitors, giving information about the facilities and services and/or contacting the relevant member of staff concerned Answering and dealing with incoming calls and emails, taking and passing on messages and ensuring an effective flow of communication between staff, customers and partners. Receiving and processing payment from users in accordance with current scale of charges for those facilities which are block booked or casually let Receiving and processing payments for admissions, courses and classes, memberships, equipment hire and taking and repaying deposits.
The skills and experience you must have:Good standard of education including literacy and numeracy skills Experience of customer service Basic working knowledge of computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets and e-mail Good written and oral communication skills, including dealing with telephone enquiries
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
