SSE is one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK and Ireland. We currently have a rare career development opportunity within the Company Secretarial team based in Perth. The Company Secretarial team is a small professional team which delivers a wide and varied range of responsibilities, including Board and Committee Services, Corporate Governance, Group Company Compliance, Corporate Projects, Shareholders and Share Plans.
Reporting to the Deputy Company Secretary, you will receive training across the range of Company Secretarial activities and will be expected to swiftly make a valuable contribution to the work of the team. Furthermore, it is essential that you are open, friendly and approachable, and work well in a team.
Suited to a graduate (preferably with a Legal / Business Management / Finance degree) with work experience in a professional environment, you should have an excellent work ethic with the desire to drive your career forward. You will receive a tailored plan to support your professional development and the successful candidate will be expected to study towards the professional qualification of Chartered Secretary, through the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
This is a challenging post and presents excellent career prospects and progression within SSE. If you believe you have the attributes and ambition, we would like to hear from you.
In return we can offer a benefits package which includes an excellent pension scheme, share save and share incentive schemes, generous leave entitlement (with an option to purchase additional leave) plus a host of other lifestyle benefits.
