We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who has a caring nature and excellent communication skills.
You will be expected to work flexibly as part of a team on a shift pattern. The service operates between the hours of 6am and 6pm, seven days a week including public holidays.
Salary: £15858 - £17355per annum pro rata (£8.69 - £9.51 per hour)
2permanentpositions, 1 full time and1part time
35 hours per week, worked on a shift pattern, 5 over 7 days per week (see below)
18 hours per week, the shifts and days will vary week to week as required (see below)
Shift pattern (to include a 30 minute break):-
Early shift: 06:00 - 13:30
Morning shift: 07:00 - 14:30
Mid shift: 09:00 - 16:30
Late shift: 10:30 - 18:00
This also includes all public holidays.

The Home Care Service provides care in the home for adults and the elderly across the whole of East Lothian who need assistance and encouragement to carry out daily living tasks.
The Customer Care Team play a crucial part in ensuring service users identified needs are appropriately supported in the Community which includes receiving and dealing with information over the telephone and out of hours emergencies and referrals.
Care SupportCo-ordinators also have a key role in supporting frontline staff as well as scheduling and allocating work and inputting all information into IT systems and to Support Care Organisers with various other administrative duties.Job Details
As part of the Home Care Support Services Team, to assist vulnerable people to remain in their own homes through the support of Care Support Workers, in accordance with statutory obligations and Council policies and procedures.

Essential: A minimum of SVQ1/Standard Grade General level English/Maths or National 4 English/Maths or Literacy/Numeracy or Intermediate 1 Communication/Numeracy and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
This post involves accessing the public services network, thereforethe preferred candidate will be subject to the Baseline Personnel Security Standards (BPSS). The preferred candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure provided by Disclosure Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
