SAC Consulting, a division of SRUC, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Food & Drink Consultant who is prepared to meet the challenge of working in a successful and dynamic industry facing environment. SAC Consulting Food & Drink is a high profile consultancy group working closely with industry to provide consultancy advice to food and drink businesses and economic development organisations across Scotland.
Working within an existing team of food and drink specialists you will be responsible for engaging with industry stakeholders in the development and delivery of national projects and strategy. You will represent SAC Consulting Food & Drink at a senior level, networking to develop and deliver consultancy business and to raise the group profile. You will be responsible for developing and building a portfolio of consultancy projects, delivering independent, impartial advice to food and drink businesses and national organisations. Key areas of current work include local food & drink and supply chain advice; with a number of new business areas identified to expand SRUC’s food and drink work. You will support and influence these business growth aspirations.
This rewarding position is a great opportunity for someone who has worked successfully in the food and drink sector either within a food and drink business or as a consultant. SAC Consulting has a range of projects already underway but is looking to grow and capitalise on SRUC’s supply chain wide expertise. We are seeking a Senior Consultant with extensive experience and a strong track record of development and delivery in the food and drink sector who is able to contribute to the expansion of our food and drink business.
An ability to operate credibly at a senior level and deliver food and drink sector consultancy and practical advice is important. A clear understanding of the Scottish food & drink sector and the UK-wide supply chain is important and the candidate should be able to demonstrate this knowledge and illustrate their experience in the sector. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, particularly with industry stakeholders and food and drink businesses of all sizes.
Ideally the new appointee will be located near Aberdeen, where other food and drink team consultants are based, but can be located at any of SRUC’s locations. A current driving licence is essential as travel across Scotland will be required.
