This is a very exciting opportunity to take over the management of an extremely busy and reputable vehicle bodywork specialist based in East Lothian.
The company has been repairing both private and commercial vehicles across East Central Scotland for over 40 years. The company holds many contracts with commercial companies and is a preferred repairer for many of the UK’s leading insurance companies. The company employs team members who have worked within the organisation for most of the careers so the knowledge within the business is extremely high. The company holds the BSI Kitemark and uses the latest technology in order to provide customers with the best possible service. This is a company who pride themselves ion reputation.
Your role as General Manager will be the lead the team and offer an operational management overview, You will be required to supply forecasts and monthly updates to the owner, manage the team to get the best out of them and work with suppliers and business partners as well as negotiating contracts and pricing,
This is a new role that is being created in order for the business owner to take a step away from the day to day business operation. It is an exciting opportunity as you have the chance to put your own stamp on the business and bring your own ideas. You must be experienced in management within a similar setting although it is not expected that you have specific automotive expertise. You will be a strong people manager with a strong technical approach. There is an opportunity for a buy out of the business in the long term although this is a potential opportunity not a requirement.
