Scottish Water is recruiting a number of part time Customer Service Advisors to work out of our Fairmilehead office in Edinburgh for a fixed term period of 6 months.
Customer Service Advisors at Scottish Water must be able to provide a high level of customer service, at all times.
This vacancy is an opportunity for hard-working and self-motivated individuals to join a successful and experienced team of customer service advisors. In order for Scottish Water to provide quality customer service to residents throughout the country, customer service advisors represent the company as a first point of contact for all service enquiries. Individuals are expected to demonstrate a high level of customer service in a professional manner: they must have empathy for the customer and be able take responsive action to resolve customer queries. Strong organisational skills and the ability to complete tasks on time are recommended.
Potential candidates must be able to react calmly, and be able assess situations with both understanding and objectivity; they must show patience and professionalism in any scenario. They must be able to deliver strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and have the flexibility to work efficiently, both as part of a team, and individually. Proficient IT skills are another basic requirement, and we expect all of our employees to be scrupulous in the quality of their work. Through accurately recording customer information, advisors will be expected to demonstrate critical thinking skills, by checking relevant historical information, and using our systems to allocate resources.
This role also includes the need for applicants to be comfortable using social media. Individuals are expected to have a proficient working knowledge of various platforms (including Facebook, twitter and emails. It is important for customer service advisors to be able to effectively and concisely answer customer queries. Therefore, good spelling and word choice is vital ensuring credibility as a company trusted to serve Scotland.
These positions are part time, working afternoons,evenings and weekends.
