In our Customer service role you will be primarily answering calls from new and existing customers. We offer a competitive rate of pay of 8 per hour with overtime when available at 12 per hour. It's a temporary 12 week contract, during which time if you show your potential, you will be offered a permanent contract with a salary of 16,664, rising to 18,085 after successful completion of a 3 month probation period.

Our office is based in Edinburgh, a 20 minute walk from Waverley Station and has regular public transportation connections to Princess Street. We operate a shift rotation between 08:00 - 22:00.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling up to 40 customer telephone contacts a day
  • Take ownership of customer enquiries from start to resolution
  • Work independently to find information to fulfil and exceed customers' expectations
  • Educate customers to self-serve on company website and mobile app
  • Accurately and promptly log all customer feedback and suggestions
  • Navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Maintain and update e-records, quickly and accurately
  • Report any discrepancies regarding information or system faults in line with operational procedure
  • Maintain confidentiality in receiving and recording payments
  • Fully compliant with data protection policy
  • Proactively provide support and assistance to colleagues

Proficiencies

  • Experience in a contact centre or customer facing role
  • Demonstrate excellent customer care skills
  • Think on your feet to deliver a prompt professional service
  • Willing to go above and beyond to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Able to maintain composure when interacting with a diverse range of telephone callers who can become difficult or distressed
  • Can adapt quickly to changes in products, process and technology
  • Proven track record of excellent attendance and time-keeping
