You will work 4.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The working pattern to be negotiated with the Headteacher.
You will be required to provide general facilities support to meet school operational needs, its surrounds and to support the school community.
You will be ensuring the security of the premises and its contents including keyholder responsibilities; responding to fire and burglar alarms and patrolling the premises as appropriate.
You must be capable of building positive relations with staff and students, have the ability to co-operate with others and work as part of a team as well as being able to work on your own initiative.
You must have basic skills in literacy and numeracy.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
The above salary includes a current living wage supplement.
