Casual School Facilities Assistant
£8.33 Per Hour
Various Locations in Dumfries and Galloway
Education Services are currently looking to recruit a number of Casual Facilities Assistants in each of the 16 school cluster areas to cover evenings, weekends and weekdays. Successful applicants will be able select the schools they would like to cover, days and times you are available. For example, evenings, weekends only.
You will provide general facilities support to meet school operational needs and school let needs. You will ensure the security of the premises and its contents including key holder responsibilities; responding to fire and burglar alarms and patrolling the premises as appropriate. You must be capable of building positive relations with staff, students and service users. You must have the ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
The above salary includes a current living wage supplement.
