Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust currently applies a living wage supplement to all employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. The value of the living wage supplement is subject to regular review by the Council and the Trust, is non-contractual and can be changed at any time.
We are looking for a responsible, outgoing person to be a casual caretaker.
This physically demanding post includes duties such as maintenance, security, cleaning, setting out for lets, completing the appropriate forms and other general duties, you will be expected to be knowledgeable in Health and Safety.
The hours of work are variable to be worked flexibly in accordance with facility lets, which will include evenings and weekends. You will also be required to work alone, or as part of a team.
Previous experience of caretaking/janitorial, general maintenance, cleaning and dealing with the public face to face and also being mobile throughout the district would be advantageous.
You will work on an as and when required basis.
Successful applicants for posts working with children or vulnerable adults will be subject to disclosure checks or the new PVG scheme.
