Graduate Project Manager

If so, Doig+Smith Ltd have an opportunity for a Graduate to undertake an exciting position at their Aberdeen office working on one of the largest projects in Scotland. With a friendly and transparent working culture, we offer the chance to gain hands-on experience whilst working with our high-end clients. You will receive on the job training, as well as specialist support and guidance from senior staff to equip you with the tools you need to succeed in your role.
As a Graduate Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivering of projects that are on time, within budget and above all, exceed customer expectations. You will provide vital support to the Project Director on a major infrastructure project.
If you are interested and wish to be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have the following:
- A relevant degree (or equivalent)
- A high level of IT literacy, including MS Office packages. (MS project or other programming experience would be an advantage)
- Previous work experience with knowledge and understanding of construction processes or contracts
- A clean driving licence and use of a car for company business
You should be enthusiastic, proactive and confident as a Graduate Project Manager and you must have a team player mentality with good organisational and communication skills. You will be expected to interact directly with all members of the project team including Clients, Consultants and Contractor team members and attend meetings and inspections on Construction sites. You should have drive to succeed and forge strong working relationships at all levels. You should be able to assess information and act on your own initiative.
As part of your role you will be expected to actively pursue Chartered Professional status.
