James Gray are actively recruiting for an experienced Planner on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established main contractor in the construction and civil engineering sectors.
Our client is a leading UK business operating primarily within construction and infrastructure schemes. Due to on-going and future pending contracts, our client offers an exciting opportunity to get exposure to large and prestigious projects.
What you’ll be doing
The successful planner will be based in Central Scotland and work on projects ranging between £5-40m in value. You will be responsible for developing concise time scales for construction projects, and liaise closely with operational and commercial staff. You will develop, manage and present your findings during internal meetings, and display your work to clients.
What you’ll need to be successful
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in Planning, and preferably have worked in a main contracting environment. Degree qualifications are desirable, and sound practical knowledge of relevant software is essential, namely Asta Powerproject. You will have exceptional organisational and time-management skills, as you will be working under strict deadlines. Problem-solving skills are required, and you must have a close eye for detail. While not a requirement, it would be beneficial to come from a Site Management background.
