Job Details

As a key member of the Strategic Asset & Capital Plan Management team, inspect and monitor the quality of construction works ensuring that all works are constructed to high standards and in accordance with relevant standards and codes of practice and compliant with all relevant legislation.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
A recognised qualification in the building construction field, with a minimum of a City and Guilds (or equivalent) in a relevant building trade at HNC/SVQ Level 3 and be a Member of the Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate of Great Britain (ICWCI) or equivalent professional body.

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential requirements of this post.

This post involves accessing the public services network, therefore†the preferred candidate will be subject to the Baseline Personnel Security Standards (BPSS). The preferred candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure provided by Disclosure Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
