Salary: 30,000 DOE + Car/Car Allowance + 30 Days Holiday

JTC are a leading manufacturer in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industry. We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance/Health and Safety Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a health and safety function within a manufacturing environment and be familiar with ISO9001/14001 regulations.  Leadership skills are essential, together with strong interpersonal, organisational, administrative and IT skills.


  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental issues within JTC group.
  • To provide day to day assistance on health and safety matters to operational staff/projects/offices
  • Assist the Managers in co-ordinating the quality programme and reporting on the Quality Management system
  • Ensure that any new processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the company
  • Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process


  • Ensuring company complies with health and safety legislation and with meeting quality standards
  • To provide guidance and advice to all staff on matters of health and safety and quality via email, the phone and face to face
  • Maintaining the health, safety & environment sections of company’s intranet
  • Ensure use of the incident & accident reporting system
  • Attend and take minutes for the quarterly Health and Safety Forum
  • Carry out necessary health, safety & quality audits & visits
  • Carry out the fire risk assessment, ensuring all fire risk assessments are reviewed and actions completed in the correct timeframe
  • Compile reports and statistics for quarterly and annual Board reports and other purposes as required
  • Co-ordinating and ensuring company emergency plan is in place and reviewed
  • Help develop the environmental & sustainability strategy, ensuring action plans are completed and targets being met
  • Continue to provide environmental data on a monthly basis to present to the board on a quarterly basis
  • Co-ordinate the administration of the quality programme including scheduling audits and monitoring delivery of annual  reviews
  • Monitoring the outcomes of quality audits and progress on delivering resulting actions
  • Assisting with the support of auditors to carry out their role
  • Direct and coordinate the company’s quality program, including the ongoing development and implementation of ISO9001/ISO14001 systems and procedures
  • Compile quality control reports, create process control metrics, manage nonconformity material discrepancy reports and recommend continuous improvement activities
  • Prepare monthly summaries of quality issues for the MD
  • Review and improve the existing Quality Record (SQR) database
  • Implement quality training programs for key quality & manufacturing personnel
  • Refine and develop the existing product warranty and return policy for finished goods
  • Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained
  • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement
  • Ensure that the document control procedure is adopted to approve, review and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of the QMS
  • Ensure that the performance of the QMS is reviewed at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness
  • Ensure that all new staff are inducted into the requirements of the QMS related to their own roles and responsibilities. Provide update training as necessary

  • BBenchmark qualifications and Experience level
  • Qualification, NEBOSH - Desirable or IOSH Working or Managing Safely - Essential
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 and 14001 Environmental Management Systems - Desirable
  • Experience of working in Property and Facilities Management and or with an RSL - Desirable
  • IT literate - Essential
  • Good writing skills and communication of procedures/policy along with good working practice - Essential

The salary for this role will be around £30,000 plus company car or car allowance and excellent benefits such as 30 days holiday per year.
