As Marine Consents Manager you will support the delivery of Major Projects by securing all statutory consents and all sea-bed and foreshore agreements. You will work with the Transmission and Distribution Environmental Teams and Land Teams in order to ascertain when statutory consents and sea-bed agreements are required for the marine elements of electricity transmission and distribution projects, and to develop strategies to secure, monitor and control the required consents and agreements. Developing and controlling important external stakeholder relationships, with particular emphasis on Marine Scotland and The Crown Estate, communicating the criticality of infrastructure and the project requirements, in order to build consensus around project decision making. You will also be responsible for the preparation, monitoring and control of the Marine Consents Budgets within agreed parameters for the marine elements of electricity transmission projects, in order to ensure expenditure is in line with the business plan.
To be successful in this role you will be educated to Degree level or equivalent experience ideally in marine resource management or environmental planning. You will be an expert in the field of marine spatial planning and marine cable route selection and have a technical knowledge of different methods of property valuation. Deep understanding of the function and structure of the electricity networks industry and the Company and knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and regulations. First and foremost you will want to put the customer at the heart of everything you do.
