The National Park, famous for its lochs and landscapes, has been seeing an unprecedented level of development activity in recent years. From the gold mine to affordable housing developments, run of river hydro schemes, major hotel development and new campsites there has been a lot going on. Our Local Development Plan has just been Adopted and sets out an ambitious and exciting vision for the Park. To support this we are investing in our award winning planning service.

Working in a small team of Planners and support staff, this role will handle a range of planning applications, delivering timeous planning decisions which will contribute to wider National Park Authority outcomes.

As with other roles, it will support the wider Statutory Planning function including contributing to projects, service improvements and innovative delivery of services digitally and online. You may also have the opportunity to participate in other related projects.

You should at least be working towards a degree or equivalent in planning/ related discipline and be working towards MRTPI status. Excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills are all essential as is a keen eye for detail.
