Location: National Park Headquarters, Balloch
The National Park, famous for its lochs and landscapes, has been seeing an unprecedented level of development activity in recent years. From the gold mine to affordable housing developments, run of river hydro schemes, major hotel development and new campsites there has been a lot going on. Our Local Development Plan has just been Adopted and sets out an ambitious and exciting vision for the Park. To support this we are investing in our award winning planning service.
This role, based in a small team of planning, built heritage and communities staff will drive forward the delivery of our Adopted Local Development Plan and take a central role in growing our exciting LIVEPark campaign to support this.
As with other roles, it will support the wider Statutory Planning function including contributing or leading projects, service improvements and innovative delivery of services digitally and online. You may also have the opportunity to participate in other related projects.
You should hold a degree or equivalent in planning or a related discipline and have achieved MRTPI status. Excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills are all essential as is a keen eye for detail.
