Based at Civic Centre, Windmillhill Street, Motherwell, the Surveyor (Building) will assist the Group Manager (Design) in the provision and supervision of building contracts, the preparation of building warrants and planning applications, monitor contractor's performance, and supervise work on site. In addition, the Surveyor (Building) will liaise with other client departments and consultants at all stages during the project and monitor expenditure.
You must have considerable relevant experience within the design and construction industry, have a RICS accredited degree or a degree with postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, and be a full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent.
You should be able to work to deadlines with a sound knowledge of current JCT contract conditions. You should also have a working knowledge of Health and Safety and CDM Regulations and be IT Literate with AutoCad experience.
A driving licence is desirable due to the geographical spread of the workload.This post is apply on-line only.
