Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor - CHA/J10690 Aberdeen £42000 to £50000 per annum Benefits: Car allowance/company car and matched pension contribution
The Building Services division of this multi-disciplinary construction group, is currently expanding its regional business operations and they are experiencing a period of growth and improved financial performance. Joining an existing commercial team, you'll be responsible for the financial management for significant M&E Building Services projects up to the value of £6mil, particularly within the healthcare and education industries throughout the whole of Scotland as well as the tutorage and mentoring of trainee/graduate employees.
We're looking for someone who can bring their commercial acumen and their excellent client facing skills to lead the quantity surveying function for the organisation. Finding cost effective solutions to any issues on projects and an ability to effectively negotiate is a key duty of this position. Ultimately, the key to this role is the ability to liaise and work with key stakeholders at all levels in order to ensure repeat business and develop existing relationships with major Main Contractors and key direct clients
Perhaps you're currently working for a mechanical/electrical contractor in an Quantity Surveying role and looking for a new challenge by leading the QS function within a diverse and growing commercial team.
At this stage, you'll need to be able to demonstrate extensive Quantity Surveying experience ideally within in an M&E Building Services organisation, although experience in other traditional building construction sectors will be considered for this position. You should have a wide and well developed commercial awareness' as you will be responsible for the financial aspects of various key multi million M&E projects in the Aberdeenshire area.
As well as a competitive salary between £42k to £50k, you can expect a benefits package which include a car allowance or company care and matched pension scheme. There is also the scope an opportunity to become a commercial manager within the business in a 2/3 year period for the right candidate.
