Am I the ideal person?
We are looking for:
·Motivated, determined candidates who are not afraid of solving challenges
·Good people management skills, being able to build relationships throughout the business
·Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality
·Candidates with larger build project experience who have ideally worked for a main contractor
What does the job entail?
·Responsible for all activities reported directly from quantity surveying staff, including providing advice and guidance as well as mentoring junior members of the team
·Liaising effectively with customers and Project Directors/Managers
·Accountable for the profitability of the project and develop an appropriate commercial strategy to ensure delivery of required margins
·Ensure information is communicated is communicated in a timely manner between customers, subcontractors and other departments
·Pro-actively monitor cash flow and valuation plan, ensuring applications are made correctly and in a timely manner
·Manage the subcontract tender process, including the selection of sub-contractors and provision of all relevant contract and schedule documentation
What qualifications do I need?
·Considerable previous experience in Quantity Surveying within a relevant business environment
·A valid CSCS card Membership of a relevant professional body and/or relevant professional qualification such as RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE (desirable)
