About the role

As part of the Customer Experience function Ticketing Services Assistants work both on trams and at other key locations such as Edinburgh Airport and be responsible for maintaining our high standards of customer service while protecting revenue for the business.

Ticketing Services Assistant's role supports information provision, ticket checking, ticket selling and assisting with high volumes of customers during major events such as the RBS 6 Nations at BT Murrayfield Stadium all form part of the role.

About you

Candidates should have well developed interpersonal & influencing skills and experience of working directly with the public. We are looking for people who can demonstrate a real passion for delivering excellent customer service and in doing so become known as "Ambassadors for Edinburgh". In addition, we require candidates who are assertive enough to handle fare evaders without compromising their customer service standards. Successful candidates will have the ability and desire to work safely and be flexible. Through referencing, candidates should be able to demonstrate high standards of attendance and punctuality. Experience in working outdoors, with crowds, cash handling and in a fast paced environment is advantageous.
