Supporter Services Assistant
Sutton Scotney, near Winchester, Hampshire
At Naomi House, we provide support to children and young people with complex medical conditions that mean they are unlikely to live into adulthood. We have two specialist units, Naomi House for children, and Jacksplace for young people, and we also offer bereavement support to the family as needed.
You’ll be the voice of Naomi House, taking phone calls from supporters and ensuring that they enjoy a first-class experience – right from that first call and throughout their relationship with us. The ability to think quickly and make sound decisions is important. Sometimes you’ll need to refer a call to another team for example, and you’ll need to constantly weigh-up where best to devote your efforts to maximise the funds we raise.
It’s a busy role that also includes producing correspondence, maintaining our database and keeping records up-to-date. You need a good knowledge of MS Office software, with proficiency in working with Databases and running reports. You need to be very well organised with a proactive approach, so first-rate communication and customer service skills are important, as is the ability to build strong working relationships with all types of people.
This role will help build the future of our fundraising team by focusing on innovative developments, exploring fresh and imaginative ways to engage people, building relationships and raising funds by supporting the sales aspect of the team’s work.
Here at Naomi House and Jacksplace, we believe that by working together in an atmosphere of openness, honesty and trust, we can achieve our shared goals. As a team, we strive to be the best – and make the most of every opportunity we can to support those we care for. If you think the same way, we’d love to hear from you because with you on board we’ll be able to support even more children and young people with life limiting conditions.
Benefits include 28 days holiday, the opportunity to join a Group pension scheme, life assurance and a pleasant working environment.
